Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The tool only needs gender, birth date, general health status, tobacco use history, coverage amount desired, and term length. These six inputs are enough for carriers to return quotes. Personal details like your name, address, and health records are collected only when you decide to move forward with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates each carrier will quote for the health tier you indicated. After you apply, the carrier completes underwriting and sets your actual premium, which might confirm your class, improve it, or place you in a different category. Nothing shown here represents a guarantee of cost or a promise of coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You submit your name, and the application is created directly from your chosen quote and your answers. It continues on the carriers' private system, where you can save your progress and come back later. When you're ready, you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed firm (License 0B75129), processes the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier you select, the amount you're requesting, and your health answers. Several carriers now offer rapid underwriting with no exam for applicants within their guidelines; others need at least some lab work or an exam. Your quote tells you the exam expectation for each carrier.

Is a longer term better?

A term's length should cover the years when your family or business would truly suffer if your income disappeared: a mortgage balance, children at home, a business debt. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for longer. The tool lets you check 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year terms from each carrier.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't retain your name or contact information. We don't buy, sell, or share visitor information. Our measurement system doesn't use cookies and respects the Do Not Track signal. See the privacy policy for a full accounting of what information we gather and who accesses it.
